The next level unlocks on its own the moment your XP crosses the threshold. Nothing you already earned is removed. There is no cash bonus just for ranking up. The new rakeback rates apply to wager from then on. Lossback for a week that already closed stays on the rank you held at that close.
VIP turns on at Volt 1 (100,000 XP) and stays on, because rank never drops. It multiplies every rakeback bucket by 1.1×. After that, the four buckets together cannot exceed 55% of the house edge. VIP also opens a manager contact, when one is configured, and a private offers slot.
A new 3-day race starts on a fixed UTC clock. Rank 1 is Unranked and Flicker. Rank 2+ is Ember and above. If you rank up during a race you move boards and your points move with you. The season board is everyone, between the dates set for that season. Prize tables start empty, so a race does not pay until a fund is set.
